There is so much to love about The Roanoke Valley. We are lucky to have a wonderful combination of modern amenities, local color, exciting entertainment, and historical flair right at our fingertips.
All of Roanoke's neighborhoods are beautiful and have their own unique attractions to offer. The one I know the most about has held a place in my heart since I was a kid. In South Roanoke there is a tight-knit community that supports several hyper-local businesses and restaurants. Stop by Crystal Spring Grocery to prepare for dinner at home with local meats and produce, unique small batch hot sauces and marinades, or freshly prepared sandwiches for the days you want a quick bite. Fork in the Alley is the perfect watering hole when you're in the mood for a refreshing beer and hot pizza. And on Sunday morning you'll find your neighbors grabbing brunch at The River and Rail (located in the historic Lipe's Pharmacy building). I'm so thankful to have such a great variety of points of interest within just a few minutes' walk from my front door.

Venturing to Downtown Roanoke, you'll find even more fun places to stop in. Get lost in the incredible artwork exhibited at the Taumban Museum of Art--the awe-inspiring construction of the building was designed by famed architect Randall Stout and opened to the public in late 2008. The Taubman consistently hosts exhibits of reknowned artists such as Norman Rockwell, Sally Mann, John James Audubon, and many more. Hungry for a quick bite? Walk over to the famous Texas Tavern and grab a Cheesy Western and "bowl with". Texas Tavern, or "TT" as we call it, is an established little hole in the wall and local staple that proudly declares it can seat 1,000 people...10 at a time.

These are just a few of the wonderful things that makes Roanoke such a fantastic place to live. Click here to see some video tours of the area!
